Michele Brancati is an Italian photographer from Calabria who specializes in reportage photography at the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia in Milan.

In addition to (co) founding the MarkoPress agency for photojournalism and the photo magazine FLOW Photozine, he was the official photographer of the jazz festivals in Orsara and Bologna for many years. In 2006 he accompanied the David Laribles European Tour and has since documented the Roncalli circus and the artistic life of the ‘white clown’ Gensi.

His projects have been exhibited in many countries, including Brussels, San Francisco, Zagreb, Belgrade, Berlin, Mannheim, Milan, Rome and Bologna. The last publication appeared in 2019 in the magazine of the German Photographic Academy. In March of this year he can be seen in Mannheim in the Ten Gallery with a work on the circus.

In addition, he has been working in the field of wedding documentation and portrait photography for over ten years.

The stations of his life took him from Bologna via Berlin and Cologne to Lemgo, where he has lived with his family since the beginning of the year.
